About Scottish6Days
The Scottish 6 Days Orienteering event, the largest of its kind in the UK, is a biennial competition held since 1977, attracting over 3,500 competitors and their families. Scheduled for July 27 to August 1, 2025, in Royal Deeside, this exciting event promises high-quality orienteering across diverse terrains, appealing to all ages and skill levels, from elite athletes to enthusiastic newcomers. Participants can engage in multiple exciting courses over six days, including sprints and trail orienteering, with divisions for age groups spanning from under 10 to over 80.
The event showcases strong international participation, particularly from Scandinavian countries and Eastern Europe. The Scottish Orienteering 6-Day Event Company oversees the event, supported by various Scottish orienteering clubs and volunteers. Attendees can also enjoy a range of local activities, enhancing the community experience.
