Scottish Amateur FA

The Scottish Amateur Football Association (SAFA) is an organisation dedicated to supporting and promoting amateur football across Scotland. Established in 1909, it describes itself as the Home of Scottish Amateur Football and works with associations, leagues and clubs to help develop the national game. Its activities bring players and communities together through competitions and practical support for the amateur football network.

SAFA organises a broad programme of national and regional cup competitions, including the Only Sport Scottish Amateur Cup and Sunday Trophy, the Inter League Trophy, and district cups serving areas such as Fife, the East and West of Scotland, and the North and South of Scotland. The association also provides club documents, resources, handbooks, competition rules and player-registration information, alongside Comet support.

Through its website, SAFA shares news, results, fixtures and league standings, and highlights community initiatives and developments across the game. It has also launched SAFA TV, a streaming platform for amateur football, giving supporters another way to follow matches and competitions.
