About Scott Manning
Scott Manning is an esteemed independent scholar and historian with a strong focus on medieval studies and military history. He is the author of "Joan of Arc: A Reference Guide to Her Life and Works" (Rowman, 2023) and co-editor of the upcoming anthology "Cinema Medievalia: New Essays on the Reel Middle Ages," set to be published in 2024 by McFarland. His scholarly work explores the intersection of history and pop culture, particularly the representation of the Middle Ages in film and television.
With a master's degree in history and a background in military history from American Military University, Scott’s insights delve into how historical events shape contemporary culture and identity.
