SCP Consultants LLC partners with schools, communities, and state organizations to advance whole child development, supporting children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being. Led by Christy Gauss, MSW, LSW, the consultancy helps groups coordinate efforts, build collaborative partnerships, and align initiatives and resources to improve outcomes. Its work is grounded in Christy’s experience in school mental health, systems of care, community collaboration, and policy advocacy in Indiana.

SCP Consultants offers customized presentations and professional development on topics including child development and neuroscience, adverse childhood experiences, trauma, stress and resilience, educator and staff wellness, and social emotional learning. The company also provides technical assistance through the National Center for School Mental Health’s School Health Assessment and Performance Evaluation System (SHAPE), helping organizations strengthen the quality and sustainability of comprehensive school mental health systems.

Christy previously worked with the Indiana School Mental Health Initiative and the Indiana Department of Education. Her credentials include training in QPR suicide prevention and ACE Interface, along with an Indiana social worker license.
