SCPPA (Southern California Public Power Authority) is a Joint Powers Authority established in 1980. Its main objective is to provide joint planning, financing, construction, and operation of transmission and generation projects. With eleven municipal utilities and one irrigation district as members, SCPPA serves over 5 million Californians, including 2 million customers, across a vast service area of 7,000 square miles.
