The Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) Partnership manages Scotland’s qualifications framework, helping people understand and compare the many qualifications available across the country. The SCQF covers learning from schools, colleges, universities, workplaces, training organisations and community settings, organising qualifications across 12 levels. Its work supports learners of all ages and circumstances to plan their education, training and career progression.

The Partnership provides practical tools and services, including an interactive framework, a tool to identify an individual’s SCQF level, and a register of learning programmes with their levels and credit points. It also promotes Recognition of Prior Learning, helping people gain recognition for knowledge and skills developed through previous study, work or life experience. Support is available for learners, families, educators, employers and credit rating bodies, including guidance on quality assurance and placing programmes on the framework.

For international audiences, the Partnership offers consultancy, themed or bespoke study visits, workshops and resources, and shares expertise through global projects.
