About The Scruggs Company
The Scruggs Company, founded in 1965 in Georgia, is a leading provider of contracting services and building materials. Originally focused on concrete and masonry sand, the company has since expanded its operations to include concrete plants, asphalt plants, sand plants, and highway/sitework contracting work. The company is divided into two separate businesses: The Scruggs Company, led by Ferrell Scruggs Sr., which specializes in contracting work and asphalt plant-mix production, and Scruggs Concrete, led by Kenny Scruggs, which focuses on concrete ready-mix and building materials.
Under the leadership of Ferrell Scruggs Jr., the company has continued to grow and achieve success, with permanent facilities established in various locations throughout Georgia and Alabama. In 2018, The Scruggs Company was acquired by Construction Partners, Inc., a civil infrastructure company operating in five southeastern states. In 2021, it merged with Everett Dykes Grassing Co., Inc., expanding its capabilities further.
