Southern Cross Swimming Club is a community swimming club based at the 50-metre, year-round heated outdoor pool at Southern Cross Catholic College in Scarborough, Queensland. Although the club is a separate organisation from the college, it has a close relationship with the school and works with Ripple Swim, which provides learn-to-swim lessons and squad training. These programs are managed by Ripple Swim, and their fees are set and collected by that organisation.
The club welcomes swimmers at all stages, from beginners joining the swimming community to experienced athletes competing at state and national level. Its focus is on creating a friendly, inclusive, family-oriented environment while encouraging members to enjoy the sport and develop their abilities. Members can take part in social club swimming and compete at club, inter-club, state or national level through Swimming Queensland-sanctioned meets. The club also runs its own club nights and championships, along with activities and events.
