SC Start Karlovy Vary is an athletics club based in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. Founded in 2012, it builds on the city’s longstanding athletics tradition and combines competitive sport with a welcoming, community-focused environment. The club describes itself as more than an athletics team: it aims to give members a sense of belonging to a wider sporting family.
SC Start offers athletics activities for children and young people, including a children’s athletics program, and supports athletes across age groups. Members train and compete in track and field disciplines, with club athletes regularly taking part in regional and national championships. Their achievements include medals and strong performances in events such as sprinting, distance running and team competitions.
The club also helps bring local communities together through sporting events. It organizes the annual Běh městem Bečov nad Teplou in cooperation with the town and the State Castle and Chateau Bečov, welcoming children, young people and adults.
