Scuderia La Torre is an amateur sports association and equestrian centre in the Mugello area of Tuscany, near Borgo San Lorenzo and about 30 minutes from Florence. With a history spanning around 50 years, the stable welcomes people who want to learn about horses, develop riding skills and take part in equestrian activities.
Its riding school is a central part of the centre and has offered instruction for more than 20 years. Riders can take courses with the centre’s horses and ponies, while younger participants can join the Pony Club. The stable also has a sports team whose horse-and-rider combinations train regularly for competitions.
Scuderia La Torre organises Pony Weeks, a summer programme for children and teenagers that combines outdoor activities with learning about horses and stable life. Activities have included riding and stable skills, pony games, orienteering, English and creative workshops. The centre’s offering brings together sport, nature and animal care, giving participants opportunities to build practical knowledge and the movement skills needed for riding.
