Itaca Scuola di Scritture is a Sicily-born educational project dedicated to helping people develop their writing across creative and journalistic forms. Its founders bring more than twenty years of teaching experience and have supported hundreds of aspiring writers and journalists. Courses cover creative writing, journalism, and storytelling through workshops, intensive courses, evening masterclasses, summer schools, and customized learning paths. Sessions are available in person in Catania and Palermo, as well as online, and welcome beginners alongside participants developing an existing project.

Beyond teaching, Itaca works with universities, schools, social cooperatives, foundations, and cultural associations on educational initiatives that use writing to support learning, inclusion, and social change. The school also collaborates with independent publisher Navarra Editore and curates its own “Itaca” book series, featuring novels and stories by emerging authors. By combining practical instruction, tailored guidance, collaborative projects, and publication opportunities, Itaca aims to help learners find and shape their own narrative voice.
