SCV Agrologie is a Quebec-based agricultural enterprise founded in 2009 by agronomist Louis Pérusse, whose work focuses on agroecological approaches. Inspired by French agronomist Lucien Séguy and his development of direct seeding systems with permanent plant cover, Pérusse established the organization to promote innovative, agroecological practices across agricultural production in Quebec, Canada, and beyond.
The brand supports farming methods that work with natural processes and strengthen the ecological functions of plants, beneficial insects, and soil microorganisms. Its approach emphasizes adaptive, participatory production systems and considers technical and economic needs alongside environmental and social factors at the farm level.
SCV Agrologie shares its expertise through agroecology training, presentations, and collaborative field activities. Topics featured include direct seeding with permanent plant cover and the use of perennial crops in field-crop production. The organization works with farmers and agricultural partners to explore practical alternatives for producing food while caring for soils and the wider farm environment.
