SD4G Lab is a brand dedicated to "Service Design For Good." They believe that service design has the power to make a positive impact on individuals, communities, and the environment. Their approach involves breaking disciplinary barriers and focusing on four integrated areas: SD4 Individuality, SD4 Economy, SD4 Community, and SD4 Ecology.

Under SD4 Individuality, they explore how individuals interact with and experience technology, covering areas such as UX design, IoT, and service design systems. SD4 Economy focuses on value creation, business model development, and entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship and business model development.

In SD4 Community, they introduce social innovation projects, community-driven design, and regional revitalization. Lastly, SD4 Ecology addresses large-scale environmental issues like waste, overconsumption, pollution, and climate change through service design impact and wicked problem framing.

The SD4G Lab offers various services such as UX research methods and facilitating co-creation workshops. They believe in sustainable development goals, plastic waste reduction, and are engaged in international collaborations.

At SD4G Lab, they offer a story-centered curriculum, which combines subjects around practical problems, enabling students to focus on what they need to learn. They have Ph.D. and MS research opportunities available, with scholarships for talented candidates. Dongseo University, where the lab is based, is renowned for its high output of Ph.D. Design graduates in Korea.
