Sme občianske združenie, ktoré sa od roku 1999 ako jediné na Slovensku venuje rozvoju debatných aktivít a metodiky. Máme približne 1000 členov v 50 debatných kluboch. SDA je nástupcom debatného programu Nadácie otvorenej spoločnosti. Patrí medzi prijímateľov dotácie Ministerstva školstva, vedy, výskumu a športu SR určenej na podporu dlhodobej systematickej práce s mládežou. V roku 2018 sme dostali cenu Generácia 3.0 od Nadácie Pontis. Organizujeme: • Stredoškolský debatný program: Slovenskú debatnú ligu, anglické turnaje, reprezentáciu Slovenska na debatných turnajoch v zahraničí, tréningy, semináre a v neposlednom rade pravidelnú činnosť asi 30 debatných klubov • Základoškolský debatný program • Vysokoškolský debatný program • Učiteľský debatný program • Program verejnej diskusie • Letnú akadémia Discover Our mission is to promote cirtical thinking, openness and citizenship of young people. The Slovak Debate Association (SDA) is the only organization that focuses on developing debating in Slovakia. SDA has about 1000 members in 50 debate clubs. An employee and about 100 volunteers, who are debate coaches, judges and officers, maintain its activities. SDA is a founding member of the International Debate Education Association and a member of the Slovak Youth Council. In 2018 SDA received the Generation 3.0 Award from the Pontis Foundation. We run activities in 6 programs: • Schools debate program: the regular operation of about 30 debate clubs, the Slovak Debate League, English-language tournaments, sending Slovak debate teams abroad, workshops and seminars • Middle schools debate program • University debate program • Teacher debate program • Public discussion program • “Discover” week-long summer academy
