Shandong Academy of Sciences Ecological Research Institute is a provincial research organization established in May 2015. Specializing in both foundational and applied research within the ecological environment sector, the institute focuses on several key areas, including pollution risk assessment, organic pollution remediation technologies and equipment, agricultural non-point source pollution control and remediation techniques, as well as research into soil microbial mechanisms and strategies for responding to climate change.

The institute boasts a dedicated team of 62 professionals, including 23 PhDs, 23 Masters, and 34 senior experts, along with recognized young specialists such as two provincial outstanding contributors and one Taishan scholar. Through collaborative projects and innovation teams, the institute actively engages in research and development, contributing to local ecological restoration efforts and sustainable agricultural practices.
