SDRCHA

The South Dakota Reined Cow Horse Association (SDRCHA) is dedicated to fostering interest in and enhancing the quality of cow horses throughout South Dakota. Established in 2001, the association was created around a stallion stakes program aimed at promoting regional cow horse stallions. Originally featuring 40 slots, this program has expanded to accommodate 45 stallions, demonstrating robust growth within the community.

SDRCHA hosts premier events, including a Futurity/Derby that highlights stallion stakes classes, having recently introduced additional Derby shows to further enrich the calendar. Most events are conveniently located in Rapid City, South Dakota, providing ample opportunities for enthusiasts to engage. SDRCHA continuously works to develop and expand the National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) show classes, ensuring a progressive future for the sport. Through these initiatives, the SDRCHA remains committed to promoting local cow horse stallions and enhancing the overall quality of cow horse competitions in the region.
