Seafar NV provides remote vessel operations and shore-based navigation technology for Europe’s inland waterways. Based in Antwerp, Belgium, the company helps ship owners respond to qualified crew shortages and manage operating costs by enabling vessels to be controlled by trained remote operators. Its services are deployed across Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the Rhine.

Seafar’s platform combines onboard vessel systems with Remote Operations Centers (ROCs). Vessels are equipped with Seafar Shield or the Vessel Control System (VCS), then connected to a shore-based workstation through the Seafar Console. Remote operators use control systems, camera feeds and sensor data to navigate with situational awareness. ROCs may be operated by Seafar or by clients.

The platform also includes Atlas for charts and situational awareness, CrewLink for crew matching and dispatch, crew support, telemetry and reporting tools, and the Captain & Operator Academy for training. Seafar offers technical consultations and live platform demonstrations for fleet operators exploring remote operations.
