The Southeast Asia Regional Collaborative for Health (SEARCH) is a regional learning network that brings together collaborators from ASEAN countries, Timor-Leste, India and China, alongside international partners. Its work focuses on strengthening health systems and improving knowledge, understanding and uptake of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) across ASEAN. SEARCH builds capacity in leadership, research, policy and practice, with strategic health purchasing and primary healthcare as its key areas of focus.

The network supports this mission through evidence synthesis, capacity-building, training workshops and policy engagement. It works with national governments, health ministries, health purchasers, public health professionals and private-sector partners. SEARCH promotes primary healthcare as a way to bring integrated services, disease prevention and community empowerment closer to populations. It also advances strategic health purchasing, which uses evidence to allocate health funds and can support more cost-effective, accessible and higher-quality services.
