searx

Searx is a privacy-respecting, hackable metasearch engine that values user anonymity. By aggregating the results of other search engines, Searx ensures that no information about its users is stored or shared with third parties. While it may not provide personalized results like Google, Searx prioritizes digital freedom and privacy above all else.

As free software with open-source code, users can contribute to its improvement on platforms like GitHub. Searx operates by mixing queries with searches on various platforms, maintaining basic privacy standards by not storing search data. Users concerned with privacy can even set Searx as their default search engine or run it on their own server.

By decentralizing the internet and empowering users to reclaim their privacy, Searx fosters a freer and more secure online environment. Explore more about Searx on their official website and GitHub repository
