About Sea Scout Group
Sea Scout Group is a social cooperative based in Oristano, Sardinia, dedicated to education, social inclusion and sport for people with disabilities, including people with Down syndrome and autism. Its work combines practical activities, personal development and opportunities to participate in community life. The cooperative offers disability-focused services and educational programmes, alongside paralympic sports activities.
Its athletes compete in disciplines including swimming, open-water swimming and archery, with participation in FISDIR events and national competitions. Sea Scout also provides training in scuba diving, including courses and certification, as well as first-aid and BLS-D instruction. Through its club and volunteer activities, it creates further ways for people to take part and contribute.
The organisation’s inclusive work also extends to cultural events: its Tealtro theatre company brings performers with and without disabilities together on stage to challenge stereotypes and encourage reflection. Sea Scout Group is certified to ISO 9001:2015 and shares news, events and information through its website and Sea Scout TV
