About Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance
SEATCA, or Southeast Asia Tobacco Control Alliance, is a prominent non-governmental alliance dedicated to promoting health and saving lives by supporting ASEAN countries in implementing effective tobacco control measures outlined by the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC). Recognized and acknowledged by governments, academic institutions, and civil society for its significant contributions to tobacco control in Southeast Asia, SEATCA has been awarded the World No Tobacco Day Award in 2004 and the WHO Director-General's Special Recognition Award in 2014. SEATCA offers a wide range of resources and services to facilitate the fight against tobacco use.
Their resource center provides publications, research materials, and videos on topics such as tobacco packaging and labeling, tobacco advertising, industry interference, and more. They also monitor and report on the tobacco industry's activities, advocate for tobacco taxation and smoke-free policies, and collaborate with partners like ASH Philippines, WHO, and HealthBridge, among others. Join SEATCA in their mission to create a healthy, tobacco-free world by contributing to their Health Promotion Fund or exploring opportunities for collaboration through their website
