About Institute of Seatransport
The Institute of Seatransport is a renowned academic organization in Hong Kong, uniting professionals from the maritime industry since 1984. Our mission is to foster the exchange of professional knowledge within the local shipping community and acknowledge the contributions of seatransport professionals in Hong Kong. As part of our functions, we organize regular seminars featuring distinguished speakers from the shipping industry, providing members with valuable insights and updates.
We also collaborate with similar organizations to host joint functions and participate in conferences, promoting networking and collaboration within the maritime sector. Our institute was founded by Captain L. C.
Ngai, Captain Peter C. T. Chu, and a group of individuals in the shipping industry.
