About Seattle Aquarium
Seattle Aquarium is the region's premier resource for hands-on marine experiences and conservation education. With a mission to inspire conservation of our marine environment, the aquarium provides exciting opportunities to discover more about the amazing Puget Sound and our world's one big ocean. Owned and operated by the Seattle Aquarium Society, the nonprofit organization took over management in 2010.
Since its opening in 1977, the aquarium has been a top attraction, hosting over 27 million visitors and educating two million school children about marine conservation. Accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, it offers an extensive range of exhibits, including Window on Washington Waters, Pacific Coral Reef, Birds & Shores, and Marine Mammals. The aquarium also features a 120,000-gallon exhibit, gift shop, cafe, and event space.
By joining as a member, making a donation, or becoming a volunteer, you can actively support the aquarium's vital work in inspiring conservation and protecting our marine environment
