Sea Turtle Patrol Hilton Head Island (STPHHI) is a passionate, community-focused organization dedicated to the protection and monitoring of endangered sea turtles on Hilton Head's pristine beaches. Established as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, STPHHI plays a crucial role in preserving the nesting habitats of these majestic creatures through diligent beach monitoring, nest relocation, and extensive public education efforts.

For the 2024 season, themed "Next Generation," STPHHI aims to inspire visitors and residents alike by fostering awareness about the importance of sea turtle conservation. The organization’s initiatives include surveying 14 miles of beaches from May through hatching season, relocating nests to safer locations, and engaging in community outreach to educate the public on the struggles faced by these endangered species. Under the leadership of Executive Director Amber Kuehn, who brings over 26 years of experience, the dedicated volunteer team hosts community events and school programs to promote stewardship of the environment and wildlife.
