About Se Bashku
Fondacioni “Së bashku” is a brand dedicated to advocating and protecting the rights of individuals with disabilities in Albania. Established in 2013, it pioneered the first social enterprise in the country, a cafe called "E Jona. " The cafe was managed by individuals with disabilities and employed a staff composed of individuals with disabilities, creating a space to promote the concept of disability inclusion to the wider society.
Since 2015, Fondacioni “Së bashku” has focused its efforts on promoting an open and inclusive society for individuals with disabilities. Their mission is to advance the rights of individuals with disabilities at the local and national levels, in accordance with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. They work towards strengthening the influence of local organizations of individuals with disabilities, promoting local and central government support for their rights, utilizing media for awareness-raising, and changing societal attitudes towards disability.
