Sebeobrana Praha

Sebeobrana Praha is a Prague-based training provider offering practical self-defense courses for women and men, led by experienced instructors, including lecturers affiliated with Charles University’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. Its teaching approach draws on the instructors’ extensive experience across combat sports and emphasizes simple, effective techniques, conflict psychology, awareness, and realistic practice through simulated attack scenarios.

The program includes beginner and continuing courses, specialized women’s classes, short seminars, and scenario-based training. Participants learn responses to common attacks and holds, along with striking, verbal self-defense, recognizing risky situations, and strategies for managing conflict. Women’s courses address situations such as being grabbed by clothing or hair, attacked from behind, or threatened with abduction, and may include ground-defense practice. Men’s training combines foundational skills with more advanced techniques, sparring, and realistic scenarios. Sessions use pads, bags, and protective equipment so participants can practice under pressure. Courses are held at locations in Prague, including Panská Street and the university’s sports facilities.
