SECAD Partnership CLG is an Irish community development organisation supporting communities, individuals and businesses in Cork and increasingly across Ireland. With offices in Midleton, Macroom and Skibbereen, it delivers programmes for local and national government and private funders. The organisation’s work focuses on rural development, social inclusion and building vibrant, sustainable and inclusive communities.
SECAD offers community development services such as village and town planning, training, capacity building, support for community facilities and networks, and management of community benefit funds. Employment and skills supports include jobseeking assistance, work placements, training, the Rural Social Scheme and Tús. For businesses and entrepreneurs, services include start-up guidance, support for women in business, rural tourism and social enterprise.
Its programmes also address climate action, biodiversity, regenerative agriculture and environmental learning, alongside social inclusion, integration and wellbeing. Through its online learning hub, people can access webinars and courses in personal development, jobseeking, business start-up, business skills and citizen science.
