Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) is a Navratna public sector enterprise under India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. Established to facilitate the National Solar Mission, it serves as a nodal and implementing agency supporting the country’s renewable energy goals and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. SECI advances solar, wind and hybrid power projects across India, using approaches that include energy storage, round-the-clock supply, assured peak power and firm, dispatchable renewable energy.

The company issues tenders to select developers for projects on a national or state-specific basis and acts as an intermediary power procurer. As a Category-I power trading licensee, SECI trades electricity across India. It also owns and operates renewable energy projects, with a reported capacity of 122.7 MW, and aims to expand its presence in the sector.

For public sector and government entities, SECI provides project management consultancy, including feasibility studies, bid-process management, construction monitoring and management, and commissioning.
