Second Apocalypse

The Second Apocalypse is a fan-run forum for readers interested in the fiction and ideas of R. Scott Bakker. It provides a community space to discuss his fantasy series The Prince of Nothing and The Aspect-Emperor, along with other works including the Disciple Manning novels and Neuropath.

Members can explore dedicated boards for individual books, characters, and storylines, exchange theories about the world of Earwa, and follow discussions of Bakker’s writing, philosophy, and related topics. The forum also features author Q&A, news and announcements, introductions, creative writing, literature, science, roleplaying games, and general conversation. Its broader reading lists include confirmed novels as well as titles and projects described by the site as rumoured, such as Atrocity Tales, Light, Time, and Gravity, Semantica, and Through the Brain Darkly.

The site is an independent fan forum rather than an official bookstore or publisher; it links visitors to Bakker’s official website for book and poster purchases, as well as to fan-run social media, a podcast, a subreddit, and a wiki
