Seddelkataloget.dk is an online catalog owned by the Danish Numismatic Society (DNF), which was established on November 27, 1885, in Copenhagen. This esteemed organization caters to numismatists and enthusiasts through various offerings, including monthly meetings during the academic year, where members can engage in discussions, participate in auctions, and interact with fellow collectors. The DNF hosts auctions for coins, banknotes, and literature, accompanied by opportunities for previewing items and attending informative lectures.
In addition to its auction activities, DNF publishes several periodicals, such as Numismatisk Rapport, which features auction reviews and numismatic news, as well as the Nordisk Numismatisk Unions Medlemsblad. The society also organizes specialized meetings for collectors of banknotes, primitive currency, and historical coins at their library in Copenhagen. Furthermore, DNF has a rich tradition of producing numismatic literature and medals, with over 16 medals issued since 1889. Annual highlights include the international Copenhagen Coin Fair, held every October, emphasizing the society’s commitment to promoting numismatic interests in Denmark and beyond.
