About SEDS
SEDS, short for Students for the Exploration and Development of Space, is an international student organization dedicated to promoting space exploration and development. Through their educational and engineering projects, SEDS aims to foster innovation, inspire the next generation of space industry leaders, and encourage friendships among like-minded individuals. With a focus on creating a diverse space community, SEDS offers partnership opportunities for chapters across the country, enabling them to connect and network with one another.
For those who have been a part of SEDS in the past, there are alumni programs available, offering mentoring and networking opportunities. SEDS has a rich history, starting from its founding at MIT in 1980 and continuing with the annual SpaceVision conferences, which carry on the legacy of the national SEDS conferences. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, SEDS empowers students to make a difference in space exploration and provides them with valuable technical and leadership skills.
