The Foundation for Small Enterprise Economic Development (SEED) was founded in 1990 by entrepreneurial representative groups, higher education institutions, financial institutions and ministries. According to the objectives of the founders, the organisation started its operation aiming to broaden the knowledge base of entrepreneurs and to develop a sound entrepreneurial culture and environment in Hungary. Due to its activity SEED has gained a so called public status in 1998. Depending on our clients' needs - besides enterprise development - part of our work is to strengthen the NGO sector and support civil organisations.

SEED Business Development Foundation is a Hungarian organization dedicated to strengthening the country’s entrepreneurial culture, with around 30 years of experience in business development. Its mission is to promote a sustainable economy by encouraging ethical, informed and effective entrepreneurship. SEED supports people at different stages of their business journey, including aspiring entrepreneurs and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises seeking to develop or sustain their operations.
Its services combine practical learning, expert guidance and community building. Offerings include individual and group consulting, personal business mentoring, entrepreneurship and digital training, workshops, and accredited courses. The foundation also shares business knowledge through online forums, events and a knowledge platform, while networking programs help entrepreneurs connect and learn from one another. Its initiatives include programs supporting women entrepreneurs, such as Nő a Táska!, and projects that bring together businesses and civil organizations. SEED also organizes awards and other opportunities to recognize entrepreneurial achievements. By sharing up-to-date information, experience and good practices, and working with business-development, educational and support organizations, the foundation aims to help enterprises build stronger, more sustainable operations.
