Seed is a cultural platform and festival that explores how design, architecture, ethics, artificial intelligence and sustainability can help shape the future. Based in Perugia, Italy, Seed brings together people from different fields to consider major social, environmental and technological changes. Its open programme encourages designers, architects, engineers and urban planners to exchange ideas with artists, scientists, philosophers, economists, psychologists and entrepreneurs.

The fourth edition, Seed Festival 2026, takes place in Perugia from 14 to 17 October and focuses on “Umanità” (“Humanity”). It examines relationships between people, technology, the environment and emerging ecosystems, raising questions about what it means to be human and which futures we are creating. Festival activities include scheduled events and opportunities for participants to register and attend. Seed also offers ongoing editorial and research resources through Seed Magazine and The Data Room, alongside stories and archives from earlier festival editions. By connecting diverse perspectives and promoting a culture of design and dialogue, Seed invites participants to consider shared responses to contemporary challenges and the future of the planet.
