SeedEd

SeedEd is a nonprofit organization that helps students, teachers, and schools bring hands-on outdoor learning into the school environment. Inspired by the Environmental Club at Hillside School, the organization draws on the experience of educators, environmentalists, and volunteers to turn schoolyards into welcoming outdoor classrooms where students can explore their curiosity and connect with nature.

SeedEd works with school communities to create natural spaces that support experiential learning and encourage students to take an active role in their environment. Its work combines restoration, education, and stewardship. The organization partners with students and educators to develop outdoor spaces, and helps schools create tailored programs, clubs, and lesson plans aligned with curriculum and state standards. It also provides ongoing support so schools can maintain their projects, build fundraising capacity, and sustain community investment over time.

Through this approach, SeedEd aims to strengthen environmental responsibility, support innovative teaching, and help students make a positive impact in their communities.
