About Neiman Environments
Native American Seed is a family-owned business that was founded in 1989 by Jan and Bill Neiman. Located in Argyle, Texas, the company started in a small office behind their barn on a 7-acre patch of prairie remnant. With years of experience in landscape construction and the nursery business, the Neiman family ventured into locating, harvesting, and selling native wildflower and grass seeds.
In 1995, they moved their operations to the outskirts of the Texas Hill Country, finding a picturesque spot on the Llano River near Junction. Unlike other wildflower seed companies, Native American Seed focuses on providing superior customer service and only offers plants that are native to the bioregion. Their commitment stems from the understanding that ecosystems are delicate webs of relationships that have evolved over centuries, and humans must respect the wisdom of nature.
With a wide range of native seed mixes, live roots, books, and resources, Native American Seed strives to help people restore the earth and preserve the beauty of nature
