Seeking Ontarios Bigfoot

Seeking Ontario’s Bigfoot (SOB) is a federally incorporated, volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization based in Ontario, Canada. Established in 2018, it investigates reports and signs of Bigfoot activity with the goal of assembling credible evidence that may encourage scientific recognition of the species. The organization grew from the Lucky Horseshoe Group of Ontario Wildlife Field Research and remains affiliated with that organization.

SOB monitors reported activity across Ontario, looks for clusters of sightings, and conducts on-site investigations at locations with a history of reports. Its work is guided by principled skepticism, careful investigation, ecological integrity, and a strictly enforced member code of ethics. The group also aims to share organizational practices and tools with others undertaking field research.

People can join as members or apply to become field investigators, report sightings through the organization’s online forms or direct phone line, and support its research through publications. SOB shares updates, including sighting maps and research developments, and participates in podcasts to provide background on its work.
