Segelclub Westfalica e.V. is a sailing club based at the Großer Weserbogen in Porta Westfalica. Founded on 12 December 1995, the club brings people together to enjoy sailing in a friendly community built on friendship, respect and teamwork. Its home waters are the Südlicher See, where club boats are available for members to use.
The club welcomes sailors of different ages and experience levels. Its youth department provides supervised sailing activities for children from the age of eight, while adults can also take part regardless of age. Members can earn inland sailing certificates through the club, offering a way to develop their skills and qualifications close to home.
For members of its offshore sailing department, the club also has access to Kormoran, a 32-foot Stahldelphin sailing yacht based in Urk on the IJsselmeer. Through its local sailing facilities, training opportunities and offshore activities, Segelclub Westfalica offers members several ways to learn, sail and share their interest in the sport.
