Segelkameradschaft Buchholz

Segelkameradschaft Buchholz e.V. is a sailing club based in Buchholz in der Nordheide, Germany, bringing together sailors since 1988. Its members share sailing experiences across the Baltic Sea, North Sea and Mediterranean, supported by a welcoming crew and a fleet of club-owned boats. The fleet includes the Bavaria 40 Heide-Witzka, which has sailed across the Atlantic to the Caribbean; the youth sailing boat Albin Express Heide-Express; and the family yacht Bavaria 32 Heide-Brise. The club also describes boats ranging from Optimist dinghies to offshore-capable yachts.

The association offers theoretical instruction and practical training aboard its own yachts, helping participants progress from beginners to responsible skippers. Experienced sailors lead the training, and its proceeds go entirely toward youth activities. Members can join club cruises to destinations including Sweden, Finland, Denmark and the Baltic states, with voyages recorded in the club logbook. The community also gathers at its sailing clubhouse by Buchholz’s town pond.
