The Segler-Verband Sachsen e.V. (SVS) is the state association representing sailing clubs and sailors in Saxony, Germany. It supports sailing across the region’s varied waters, including the Elbe, reservoirs and former open-cast mining lakes. The association promotes youth and performance sailing, recreational cruising, and competitive regatta sailing, while helping clubs develop safe, qualified training and sustainable programs for young sailors.

The SVS provides information and services for its member clubs and the wider sailing community, including regatta calendars, championship rules, details about sailing areas and boat classes, and guidance on sailing qualifications. It also organizes and publicizes events such as the Mitteldeutsche Segelwoche and the Sächsische Wassersportgespräch. Education is a key part of its work: the association offers DOSB C-level sailing coach training and continuing education, and supports license renewals for race officers and judges. Through youth initiatives, training camps, funding information, shared boats and equipment, and resources for clubs, the SVS helps connect and strengthen sailing throughout Saxony.
