Segelverein Eiderdamm

Segelverein Eiderdamm e. V. (SVED) is a community sailing club based at Yachthafen Schülpersiel on the Eider in Wesselburenerkoog, Dithmarschen.

Founded in 1973, the club has around 50 members and combines active sailing, youth development and social activities in its maritime clubhouse. Its harbor has 20 berths and six club-owned boats, with facilities and information for visiting sailors. The tidal harbor welcomes boats up to approximately 10 metres long and 1.

30 metres draft; all berths dry out at low tide. Guests can use the clubhouse’s sanitary facilities and borrow bicycles free of charge. The club’s home waters extend along the Tideneider, with sailing routes toward Tönning, the North Sea and, via the Eider and Kiel Canal, the Baltic Sea.

Its youth group teaches children and teenagers in Optimist dinghies, a Wanderjolle and 420er boats, and takes part in training camps and regattas. SVED also offers club membership and opportunities to request a berth or learn more about its activities
