Sehepunkte is an online review journal dedicated to history and related disciplines, presenting critical reviews of scholarly publications for an international readership. Its coverage spans antiquity, the Middle Ages, the early modern period, the nineteenth century, contemporary history, art history, and theory, methods, and teaching in historical studies. The journal is edited by Dominik Brabant, Jürgen Dendorfer, Andreas Fahrmeir, Peter Helmberger, Mischa Meier, and Matthias Schnettger, in cooperation with the Herder Institute in Marburg and the Institute of Contemporary History in Munich–Berlin.

Each issue brings together reviews of recent books and edited volumes, organized across historical periods and thematic fields. The current issue also features a forum on Islamic worlds, alongside reviews addressing topics such as European national diversity, Holocaust remembrance, digital interpretation, diplomacy, photography, and ancient cultural exchange.
