About SEHN
SEHN, founded in 1994 by a consortium of North American environmental organizations, is a virtual organization dedicated to protecting the environment and human health by addressing the misuse of science. With a mission to forge science, ethics, and law into tools for action, SEHN operates as a leading proponent of the Precautionary Principle in the United States. SEHN offers a range of products and services to accomplish its mission.
The organization translates complex scientific and legal concepts for the public and decision-makers, providing them with the tools needed to protect and restore justice and ecological wholeness. SEHN also serves environmental, public health, and environmental justice coalitions by offering legal and scientific expertise. The team at SEHN, consisting of staff and board members, is spread across various locations in North America.
