Seigikai is a Tampere-based martial arts club founded in 1994, offering training in aikido and iaido. The club practices at its own dojo in Nekala, at Kuoppamäentie 10, and describes itself as a welcoming community with a positive atmosphere. Its regular programme includes sessions for beginners and experienced practitioners, with separate classes and practice times for each discipline.
Seigikai also runs introductory courses, giving prospective members an opportunity to try training before committing. Iaido courses cover the basics and are intended for participants aged 15 and over; initial training can be done in comfortable exercise clothing. Beyond weekly classes, the club hosts seminars, specialist sessions and events, including weapons practice with the bokken, and encourages members to attend aikido camps led by visiting instructors.
Seigikai’s activities connect its members with other Finnish clubs and martial arts organizations. The club also supports iaido competition: member Arttu Nieminen represented Finland at the European Championships, where the national team won bronze, and earned his third dan during the event
