Seiken

Seiken Egyesület is a Hungarian association dedicated to teaching karate-do and organizing outdoor activities. Its program includes cycling, horseback riding, water-based and hiking tours, alongside karate instruction. The association uses basic karate techniques to help develop correct posture and strengthen muscles, with particular attention to children.

Karate-do, meaning “the way of the empty hand,” is a Japanese martial art. Seiken practices the Shotokan style, in the form officially known as JKA karate, founded by Gichin Funakoshi. Its training follows the professional guidance of the Hungarian JKA Karate Federation.

The association’s name translates as “True Fist Association. ” Seiken shares information about current and upcoming events in its news section, while its gallery and archive provide access to activities from previous years. The association also has a presence on Facebook and invites members and supporters to contribute by assigning one percent of their personal income tax to support its work.

Through martial arts education and organized tours, Seiken offers opportunities for physical practice and shared activities
