The Seismic Portal hosts multiple data API/web services that provide access to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre's (EMSC) datasets. The website both documents the available APIs and enables users to interactively explore the available data both via the home page and via individual event pages. Services include an FDSN event API for querying the EMSC catalogue and a service for matching earthquake IDs between different institutes (EventID), as well as services for downloading macroseismic felt reports, moment tensors and rupture models. The portal also provides links to other important European seismological institutes.

Seismic Portal is a comprehensive platform managed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), designed to provide access to a wealth of seismological data and services. The portal hosts multiple data APIs and web services, allowing users to explore and interact with extensive datasets related to seismic activity. Key offerings include the FDSN event API for querying the EMSC catalogue, tools for earthquake ID matching across different institutes, and downloadable services for macroseismic reports, moment tensors, and rupture models.
In addition to core services, the Seismic Portal features a Broadband Waveform Explorer for accessing continuous seismic data from approximately 1,000 stations across Europe, as well as resources from the VERCE platform for advanced data analysis. Users can also access historical earthquake data through AHEAD, an archive dedicated to preserving seismic history from 1000 to 1899. With links to other European seismological institutes, Seismic Portal serves as a vital resource for researchers and the public interested in seismic monitoring and hazard assessment.
