Seize the Days is a Baltimore-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that shares and preserves the stories of people facing cancer and their loved ones. The organization focuses on the pursuits, relationships, and experiences that bring meaning and joy after a diagnosis, highlighting how a cancer journey can include new sources of purpose, connection, and hope. Its collection, called the Library of Inspiration, features real stories about creative expression, philanthropy and volunteering, travel and experiences, spiritual reflection, movement and vitality, and entrepreneurship.
Examples include patients finding fulfillment through running, volunteering, faith, music, travel, or supporting others with cancer. For more than 15 years, Seize the Days has recorded these personal accounts to inspire individuals and families, help clinicians bring joy into conversations about treatment, and keep patients’ lived experiences at the center of cancer care. Visitors can browse stories, learn about the organization, listen to accounts, contact the team, donate, or share their own story
