About Society of Economic Journalists- Nepal
The Society of Economic Journalists-Nepal (SEJON) is a non-profit organization and a representative body that brings together over 254 professional economic journalists associated with print, electronic, and online media across the country. Established in 1998, SEJON aims to enhance professionalism and capacity building among economic journalists in Nepal's expanding economic sector. As a common forum for Nepalese economic journalists, SEJON organizes interactions with economists, policy-makers, business leaders, and other stakeholders to bring attention to burning economic issues.
Moreover, SEJON conducts various levels of training within the country and abroad to develop the professional capacity of its members. The association also focuses on facilitating the social security of business journalists. SEJON advocates for the positive role that economic journalists can play in creating a favorable investment climate and promoting fair practices among businessmen.
With its integrity and professionalism, SEJON has become a successful professional association, representing members from various media organizations and academic backgrounds. Visit the SEJON website at sejonnepal. com or sejonnepal.
