Sekyra Foundation

Sekyra Foundation is a Czech philanthropic foundation established by entrepreneur Luděk Sekyra to advance human rights, moral universalism, liberal values, and civil society. Based in Prague, it supports initiatives that encourage philosophical and critical thinking, strengthen academic institutions, and promote education and dialogue across generations. Its work also reflects a commitment to responsibility for the planet’s future.

The foundation supports a wide range of projects rather than offering commercial products or services. Its initiatives include academic conferences, lectures, festivals, podcasts, research and university collaborations, and educational activities. It also helps publish and translate works by influential thinkers, including books on philosophy, politics, economics, and democratic society. Other supported activities include human-rights awards, cultural events, literary organizations, student programs, and assistance for Ukrainian academics and students.

Projects are organized around three broad themes: human rights and civil society; philosophy and critical thinking; and future generations and the preservation of the planet.
