The Southeast European Law Enforcement Center (SELEC) is an international law enforcement organization that supports its 11 Member States and strengthens regional cooperation against crime. Founded in 1999 as the SECI Center, it became SELEC in 2011 with a stronger legal foundation and mandate. Based in Bucharest, the organization works to prevent and combat transnational crime, particularly serious and organized crime, and contributes to security across Southeast Europe.

SELEC helps national authorities coordinate their efforts through the exchange of information, joint investigations, regional operations, and analytical products. Its operational activities are organized through task forces addressing areas including drug and human trafficking and stolen vehicles. The Center also provides support through its Operational Center Unit and offers training and projects with partners. By bringing Member States together around shared investigations and operations, SELEC serves as a regional platform for practical law enforcement cooperation. Its work includes supporting cross-border efforts against crimes such as migrant smuggling and environmental crime, while its activity reports and public updates communicate its initiatives and results.
