The Alliance for Self-Directed Education (ASDE) is a nonprofit organization working to normalize and legitimize Self-Directed Education, with the goal of making it accessible to all young people who seek it. Self-Directed Education is learning that grows from a learner’s chosen activities and life experiences, supporting curiosity, playfulness, and other natural ways of learning.
